Farewell to a Faithful Friend: The Wiltshire Bows Out

After years of faithful service, it's time to say goodbye to a true Wagstaff stalwart.

The End of an Era

Every watch tells a story, but some become part of the family. Today, we're announcing the retirement of our beloved Wiltshire chronograph – a timepiece that has been a cornerstone of the Wagstaff collection for the past few years.

The Wiltshire has served our countryside community with distinction. This classy yet practical chronograph, with its impressive 10-hour measurement capacity, has timed everything from clay pigeon competitions to lambing seasons. Its thoughtfully positioned date window at 4 o'clock allowed the stopwatch function to shine, while the hand-finished leather strap provided the comfort and style our customers expect from Wagstaff craftsmanship.

From its low power warning feature to the elegant non-rotating time guide bezel, every detail of the Wiltshire spoke to our commitment to creating watches that work as hard as the people who wear them.

Why Say Goodbye?

At Wagstaff Watches, we believe in evolution rather than endless production runs. The Wiltshire has earned its place in our heritage, but like all good things, its chapter must close to make way for new adventures in horological innovation.

As Albert used to remind us, standing still is moving backwards. The Wiltshire represented the best of what we could achieve then – now it's time to push further forward.

What's Next? Something Extraordinary Awaits

Here's where it gets exciting. While we won't be producing any more Wiltshire models, we haven't been idle. At this year's Blenheim Horse Trials, we'll be launching something entirely new – a first for Wagstaff Watches that represents a bold step into uncharted territory for our family business.

We can't reveal all the details yet (where would be the fun in that?), but we can promise this: what we unveil at Blenheim will embody everything Albert taught us about innovation, quality, and serving the countryside community – while taking us somewhere we've never been before.

Fair warning though: this isn't a direct replacement for the Wiltshire. It's something altogether different, designed to meet needs we've discovered through listening to our customers and watching how the countryside community continues to evolve.
